    • Lindsay says:

I’m curious to know how you got those shelves to stay, I don’t see brackets, or nail, or anything lol. Thanks so much for sharing, it’s beautiful.

  2. Sharon says:

Wow Cynthia! That is quite a story & what a gorgeous “after”! Thanks for reminding us to love where we are & not let it hinder us from hospitality! Love the tile all the way up!

  3. Ashley says:

I love that you are so real about budget issues. It always seems like Instagramers have closets full of money or something- which is ok. It’s just nice to feel like some of you are like the rest of us. 😂 And that maybe we can attain something as beautiful as this!

    • Cynthia Harper says:

Yessss, I’m so glad you can relate to being on a budget, which we definitely are. No closets full of money here, lol. I’m so glad you enjoyed seeing these before and afters of the kitchen! XO, Cynthia

  4. Christina says:

love it Cynthia!! Just scheduled some FB shares of your kitchen because it’s such a great makeover <3

  5. Whitney says:

Your comment about how you lived & loved your space spoke volumes with me! We’re renovating our house (mostly ourselves) bit by bit. It’s such a process. Your voice, wisdom & kindness come through across this page!! I have loved your photos for a long one & I love your voice as well.

    • Cynthia Harper says:

Thank you, Whitney! What a kind thing to say! I’m glad this post resonated with you. It really is important to embrace our homes now, just as they are. It doesn’t mean we can have fun dreaming, planning, and changing things, but finding that contentment in the midst of our current circumstances is so important 🙂 Thanks for stopping by the blog! XO, Cynthia

  6. Katie says:

    Hi Cynthia!
I love your updates including your newest range hood update! Can you give me more information on you farmhouse sink? What material, and honest review you have, etc? Or maybe you’d be able to link it here or to your stories??
    Thanks so much!
    Katie

    • Cynthia Harper says:

Hi Katie! We bought our Kohler cast iron sink through Lowes about 2 years ago. I am very happy with the look of it and the durability of it, and I would buy it all over again! One thing I will say is that is shows dirt and grime very easily, so be prepared to clean it frequently (every couple days). Also it will scratch, so I recommend getting one of those sink inserts to keep the pans from scratching the bottom of the sink. I hope those honest thoughts help you in your decision 🙂 XO, Cynthia

  7. Roo says:

Hi!! Sorry if I missed it but what paint colours did you use for the white and black?

  8. Katlyn says:

Hi Cynthia! Started following you recently and absolutely love your design choices and can definitely relate to being on a budget lol. Just recently sanded my bathroom cabinets and plan to follow the 200 days 200 dollars remodel :), but we just finished painting our kitchen cabinets white and are looking at different hardware options. Can you tell me where you got your drawer & cabinet pulls? Thanks! 🙂

  9. Adrienne says:

Hi Cynthia! Quick (and maybe stupid) question: Did you tile and then hang the cabinets, or did you tile around your cabinets? Love the tile to the ceiling!

  10. Erin says:

What did the quartz countertops cost? I have all the appliances purchased to install with new countertops and am set on quartz as well. I’m afraid to get a quote for the product and install!

  11. Carissa says:

I love everything about this!!! So refreshing and relatable! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and spreading your joy!

  12. Erin says:

I Love your kitchen! Where is the large white light from?

  13. Kayla says:

Love your kitchen!! And the backsplash is perfect! What color grout did you use for it?! There are so many options!!
